Introducing the Missouri Life Sciences Research Database
This first ever statewide life sciences online poster session debuted as a major component of Missouri Life Sciences Week, presented March 3-7, 2003 by the MU Molecular Biology Program and the University of Missouri Bioinformatics Consortium.

Initial response was excellent with over 400 abstracts and posters submitted and we have decided to maintain and further develop this research poster website. Originally referred to as the Missouri Life Sciences Week Online Poster Session, it is now called the Missouri Life Sciences Research Database.

Promoting communication and collaboration for food, health and the environment
The potential benefits of this research database are enormous, both for individuals and groups of researchers, as well as for statewide economic development. It is our hope that a search of the database will prompt communication between potential collaborators and serve as a catalyst for future discoveries and technology transfer.

Make sure your research and expertise are represented in this database — sign up today!
Life scientists throughout the state of Missouri (and contiguous counties in bordering states) representing academia (including students), research institutes, industry and government are invited — and encouraged — to post abstracts and posters on this searchable, indexed website. Informational posters describing life sciences related organizations or businesses are also welcome.

Abstracts and posters can be submitted to the database at any time during the year. However, please note that posters will be purged after one year to ensure that the database is fresh and current.
